Animal Rescue Gone Airborne

Working to fly animals to new homes all over the Southeast of the United States

About Us

Who We Are

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3)  organization focused on transporting rescue animals to their new adoptive homes. Unlike other rescues, our transport takes place among the clouds with the help of our amazing volunteer pilots.  We organize fundraisers, create opportunities for pilots to fly, and bring countless animals to loving, furever homes!

To Our Fellow Pilots

We are always looking for eager-to-fly volunteer pilots who are looking for a reason to go flying and travel to new places. Our flights take place all over the southeast region of the United States, including as far west as Texas and as far north as Kentucky. If interested in flying our rescue pups to a new homes, contact us below to find out about available volunteer pilot positions!

Want to help outside of the airplanes? Check out our affiliate rescue, Two Tailz Rescue! Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.

Our Story

How We Began

In 2015 Two Tailz Rescue was faced with a difficult situation. In need of a transportation option to Kentucky for one of our pups, they needed something more efficient than typical mobile transport. As a result, Freedom Flightz was born with the first flight transporting a dog across the Southeast United States.

Where We Are Now

Since 2015, our travels have brought us as far away as Texas and as close to home as South Carolina. Through TwoTailz Rescue we receive numerous dogs that need to be transported, and we continue (with the help of volunteers) to take dogs to their new homes to this very day!

Our future

Our goal to continue the development of Freedom Flightz is to expand our work area outside of the south east region of the US and begin bringing animals all over the country. As of now we have 35 pilots, and we hope to recruit a total 80 pilots by the end of 2019 to help us accomplish this vision. We are also constantly on the look out to partner with rescues and aviation organizations local and nationwide that are also interested in the work we do.
